Normalcy has returned to Sasa Market in Akinyele Local Government, Ibadan, Oyo State following the crisis erupted in the early hour of today as the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Shina Olukolu assured residents and traders of peaceful coexistence in the area.

Mr Olukolu stated this when he visited the market to access the level of damage.

The Oyo CP, who explained that the crisis was a minor situation, appealed to traders to give peace a chance.

Speaking on the incident, Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde represented by Special Adviser on Special Duties, Miss Ololade Ajibola said that the state government would take necessary step to know the cause of the clash and proffer solution to prevent future occurrence.

In their separate remarks, Chairman Sasa Market Traders Association, Mr Abdulwaheed Sulaimon and Chairman Hausa community, Alhaji Isa Alausa appealed to all the parties involved in the crisis to embrace peace and unity.

 Also speaking, member Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Akinyele Constituency Two, Mr Olatunde Kehinde said the crisis was due to misunderstanding among the traders.

 Mr Kehinde therefore appealed to traders to go about their normal business activities as security agents are on ground to ensure peace.
