Delta State Commissioner for Finance Mr. Fidelis Tilije, has urged heads of subsidiaries under the ministry to intensify efforts towards realising the new Stronger Delta Policy of the second tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Mr. Fidelis Tilije made this known in his maiden press briefing with journalist at the Ministry of Finance Headquarters in Asaba.
The commissioner in an address at the occasion called on staff of the ministry and agencies under it to eschew corruption, which he noted was detrimental to achieving the aims and objectives of the new dispensation.
Mr. Tilije also directed heads of the state Ministry of Finance and its subsidiaries including the State Internal Revenue Agency and Delta Trust Fund, to submit a memo detailing the status of the agencies as a head start in repositioning the ministry.
He added that he would run an open office and would entertain and respond to constructive criticism.
