Ekiti Tasks Residents on National Identity Card Registration
Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, has urged residents of the state yet to register for the National Identity Card scheme without delay.
Otunba Egbeyemi also called on those who had registered to go to the office of the National Identity Management Commission in Ado Ekiti to collect their National Identity Cards, which are now ready.
The Deputy Governor made the call today after he received his electronic General Multipurpose Identity Card (e-National ID Card from the NIMC Coordinator in Ekiti State, Mr. Gbenga Ifayefunmi.
The Deputy Governor said government would equally work in synergy with the commission to sensitise citizens on the importance of registration and collection of their cards.
In his remarks, Ekiti NIMC boss, Mr Gbenga Ifayefunmi, disclosed that there are twenty two collection points in the state, urging residents to avail themselves of the opportunity to collect their cards.
He announced that the cards for those who registered between 2012 and 2014 were now ready while new registrants will get their cards within the shortest possible time with improved technology in place.
