The Nigeria Security and Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ogun state command has ordered the deployment of its personnel to beef up security before, during and after the Sallah.

State Commandant of the Corps, Mr. Hammed Abiodun told journalists in Abeokuta deployment would complement the existing security arrangements in the state.

Mr. Abiodun explained that the personnel deployed would be drawn from all formations of the Corps in the state, including the undercover and the armed squad personnel, with the special rules of engagement to be reeled out to them.

He noted that special attention would be paid to some identified flash points, market places, motor parks, fun parks and prayer grounds, owing to high convergence of people during the period.

Mr. Abiodun listed other areas to be beefed up including critical infrastructures in the state, telecommunication masts, essential government buildings, among others while surveillance patrol teams would be intensified around pipeline areas.

He gave the assurance that efforts would be intensified to forestall any likely security breach.
