The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB has announced indefinite suspension of the ongoing recruitment of teachers into public primary and secondary schools in the state.

Briefing newsmen in Ado Ekiti, SUBEB chairman, Professor Francisca Aladejana said new a new date would soon be announced.

She made it clear that the suspension had affected August 17 earlier fixed for the written examination but the venues remain unchanged.

Professor Aladejana insisted that the recruitment was meant for NCE Holders and graduate teachers and such would be carried out before the next academic session in mid September.

The SUBEB chairman said the board had resolved to use electronic application process where only those that qualified would have access to download their application forms on line.

Over ten thousand job seekers had yesterday thronged SUBEB office in Ado Ekiti to collect the free employment forms.

However, the exercise was suspended midway to avert stampede.
