The Nigeria Police says it will deploy more officers across the country to check kidnapping, armed robbery, killing to tackle security challenges.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Abdulmojid Ali stated this in Ado Ekiti during his visit to the state’s command headquarters.

He said that police would not relent in its efforts to provide adequate security for Nigerians.

The DIG appealed to the officers to discharged their duties effectively and desist from anything that could affect integrity of the force.

Mr Ali called on Nigerians to complement the efforts of police by reporting any suspicious activity noticed in their environment to security agents.

Earlier, the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police Amba Asuquo, who received the DIG, promised that police in the state would put in more efforts to create environment where people could sleep with their two eyes closed.
