The traditional ruler of Oye- Ekiti, Ekiti State, Oba Michael Oluwole Ademola is appealing to religious leaders to continue in prayers for monarchs who have become targets for kidnapping in the country.

The monarch made the appeal during a service at the Apostolic Faith Church, Igbesa, Ado Odo Ota LGA of Ogun State.

He regretted that the entire Southwest has been ravaged by gun- throtting herders who have done incalculable damage to farms in the area.

Oba Ademola expressed worry that the situation could lead to famine next year as farmers are in constant fear of going to their farms.

Speaking during the service, the District Superintendent Reverend Adebayo Adeniran called on Nigerians to dedicate their lives to God and abstain from sin in order to overcome the challenges of fear and insecurity pervading the country.
