One thousand five hundred students have been offered admission into Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta to run National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes for the 2018/2019 academic session. 

At the Matriculation ceremony on the Ojere, Abeokuta campus of the Polytechnic, the newly admitted students were charged to shun acts capable of putting their academic pursuit in jeopardy. 

The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Professor Ishiaq Oloyede gave the advice in a message to the event. 

Represented by the state coordinator of JAMB, Alhaji Abdulhakeem Abdulhameed, Professor Oloyede commended the state government for resuscitating academic activities which had been on hold in the last two years in the Polytechnic. 

Similarly The Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Olu-Ola Aikulola in a message through a Director in the Ministry, Mr. Martin Akinsolu said the state government was working tirelessly at ensuring steady academic calendar for the institution.

Mr. Aikulola who noted that education was beyond acquiring knowledge implored the students to learn both within and outside the four walls of the classrooms to enable them to impact positively on the community.

Earlier in an address of welcome, Rector of the institution, Dr Samson Odedina charged the matriculating students to be focused and display good conduct at all times.
