Journalists need to keep abreast of digital trend – FRCN Ibadan ZD

Media professionals have been urged to be in tune with the trending events in other to be relevant in the information technology world.

Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, Alhaji Mohammed Bello stated this during the station’s online presentation of the station’s new website.

Alhaji Bello said there was need to move with the digital trend, stressing that with advancement of technology, online media has become a major source of passing information across.

Alhaji Bello urged the staff to come up with ideas that would promote the station’s website and boost its traffic.

In a remark, Deputy Director News, Pasto Dare Olorunfemi said the future of broadcasting is online media, hence there should be interaction from time to time to improve contents.

Earlier, head of Online Unit, Mrs Adebukola Aluko in a presentation urged the staff to help promote the social media handles of the station in order to boost the website traffic.

Some of the staff lauded the initiative, noting that it had broaden their knowledge of the online media.
