The National Orientation Agency, NOA, has disclosed its plan to collaborate with the Oyo State House of Assembly, OYHA, on creating platform for the lawmakers to get assessment and give feedback on their activities at various constituencies.

The non-partisan platform according to NOA is to give Oyo State House of Assembly members holistic opportunity to interact with their constituents outside their political parties’ structure.

Speaking during the visit to the Oyo Speaker, the State Director of the agency, Mrs. Dolapo Dosunmu noted that the partnership will benefit both the government and the people of Oyo State.

According to her, while the legislators will be enabled to highlight projects and programmes they have executed towards improving the general welfare of the people, the constituents can also intimate them with social and economic challenges facing them and areas their representatives are expected to intervene.

In his response, Speaker of the House, Mr. Adebo Ogundoyin described the proposed partnership as a welcome development, adding that himself and the Deputy Speaker of the house, Mr. Abiodun Fadeyi will take the lead on the project.

He said the 9th Assembly is made up of vibrant lawmakers and assured NOA that the 32 members will be part of the assessment programme before the end of their tenure.
