The Olubara of Ibara, Oba Jacob Omolade wants Nigerians to promote healthy  lifestyles and avoid habits that are detrimental to their well-being. 

Oba Omolade gave the advice at his Ibara, Omida Palace while addressing beneficiaries of a free medical outreach organised by the Foursquare Gospel Church, Upper room Temple, Oke Ilewo Abeokuta in conjunction with Shalom Mega Stores and Itunu Hospital.

The traditional ruler, who condemned poor eating habit as well as consumption of alcohol and other toxic substances, commended the organisers of the free medical outreach for relieving the people of their medical burdens. 

Also, the Abeokuta District Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church, the Reverend Adegbesan encouraged the people to live right and renew their relationship with God for them to enjoy good health and all other perfect gifts for the creator. 

The Reverend Adedimeji Adegbesan expressed the commitment of the church to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ the Saviour, the Healer, the baptizer with the Holy Spirit and the soon coming king. 

Similarly, The Pastor in charge of Upper Room Temple of Foursquare Gospel church, Ayoyinka Akinyosoye explained that the outreach was part of the desire of the church to give back to the community.

Pastor Akinyosoye, who noted that the event was the fourth in the series, said assisting the less privileged in the society was in line with the foundation laid by Jesus Christ.

He stressed the need for religious leaders to continue to promote unity and love in the country irrespective of tribes and religion.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with Radio Nigeria expressed appreciation to the Church and other partners, stating that their efforts through the free medical outreach had helped to restore hope for the needy.

About 400 individuals benefited from the free medical services including screening, consultation, medications as well as provision of drugs and eyes glasses.
