Osun Police Ban on Street Carnival Still In Force

Osun state police command says the ban on street carnivals is still in force.

In a statement in Osogbo, the state capital, the command’s Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mrs. Folasade Odoro explained that, intelligence reports indicated that some miscreants were planning to use carnival activities to perpetrate nefarious acts.

Mrs. Odoro therefore advised parents to discourage their children from acts that could disrupt the peace in the state.

Enjoining the people of the state to go about their legitimate business, the PPRO warned that anyone found wanting during this festive period would be prosecuted.
