Some candidates wishing to seat for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) may have their hope dashed.

This followed the inability to meet examination requirements which involved registering with National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

Radio Nigeria correspondents, who monitored the NIMC registration exercise in some of the banks in Ibadan, reports that few prospective UTME candidates were being attended to.

In an interview, some of the candidates said despite their early arrival to the banks, they were unable to get registered.

One of the parents Mr. Oladayo Idowu, who accompanied his child to the bank lamented the poor registration arrangement, saying a staff of (NIMC) was made to cope with hundreds of candidates wishing to register.

Mr Oladayo said millions of UTME candidates would miss the exam if Federal Government failed to extend the registration date.
