The Nigeria Police Zone 11 has got a new Assistant Inspector General, AIG.
He is Mr Bashir Makama, until his appointment has been Commissioner of Police in many states including Benue, Akwa Ibom and Ogun states.
Mr Makama took over the leadership of Zone 11 from Mr Adeleye Oyebade who has now been redeployed to the Nigeria Institute for Policies and Strategic Studies, NPPIS, Kuru Jos.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Zone, Mr. Adekunle Ajisebutu, the new AIG seeks support of the public for an improved fight against crime.
The Police Zone 11 command with headquarters in Osogbo comprises of Osun, Oyo and Ondo States.
