Oyo Launches Logo for Private Health Facilities

Oyo State Government has launched an official logo for Private Health Facilities to sanitize the health sector.

The new logo for the private health facilities was launched by Governor Seyi Makinde at a seminar for Public and Private Medical Practitioners.

According to Governor Makinde, who was represented by Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, the government was committed to enhancing the lives of the citizenry through good health service delivery.

The governor explained that the Logo would be found at all registered private facilities and differentiate government approved health centers from those operated by quacks.

Speaking on the seminar, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Bashir Bello said the state government was committed to training and retraining of health workers in the state so as to achieve a hitch free health-care-service delivery.

Other issues discussed at the seminar included Patient’s Bill of Rights, Response to Emergency, effective Synergy between government and medical Practitioners and elimination of quackery in medical profession.
