Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has pledged to always accord due respect to traditional institutions in maintaining law and order.

He stated this during a foundation stone laying ceremony of the proposed building of the Ibadan Southwest Local Government Traditional Council.

Governor Makinde stated that his government was committed to strengthening the traditional councils so as to perform its statuary functions of coordinating and maintaining peace in their respective domains.

Former Governor of Oyo State, High Chief Rasidi Ladoja and Acting Chairman of Ibadan South West Traditional Council said the idea of construction of the building was to have a befitting meeting place for traditional rulers in the council area to discuss issues pertinent to the development of the state.

High Chief Rasidi Ladoja, who is also Osi Olubadan also souight the support of Governor Seyi Makinde and Ibadan South West Local Government for the speedy completion of the Project.
