Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has said the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), codenamed Operation Amotekun, the regional security outfit was shaping up brilliantly.
He stated this at the opening of a three-day 2020 annual general conference of a church in Ibadan.
Governor Makinde, who explained that he had a 30-minute fruitful deliberation with the IGP, and the situation reports on the injunction restraining the sacked council chairmen in the State from forceful takeover of local government secretariats in the state, said Amotekun has come to stay.
Governor Makinde said the security outfit would complement efforts of police to make the society safer.
The governor also preached religious tolerance among people irrespective of affiliations for the society to be a better place.
