Members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Ondo, Province 9, Victory Sanctuary Akure trooped out to observe CAN directive on a peaceful walk to end gruesome killings in Nigeria.

The prayer walk which commenced 11:30Am saw the left-wing of Ondo road, Akure, precisely custom junction shut while songs of solidarity rent the air.

The atmosphere characterized by somber and prayer was also visibly dotted with placards reading “no more kidnapping, souls are precious to God, God hates blood-shedding, stop the killing of innocent Nigerians”

The prayer walk led by RCCG Ondo Province 9, Pastor Christopher Sule at 12 pm climaxed with a prayer for Nigeria and for God to fish out her enemies and give the country peace.

Speaking with newsmen, the leader of the elders in the church, Elder Adeyeye and two others Elder Yemi Adeyemi and Pastor Mrs. Christy Omoniyi said the protest became necessary bearing in mind the geometric rate of killings and insecurity in Nigeria.

They called on the Federal Government to urgently address the trend, which had left many Nigerians in sorrow while also tarnishing the image of the country.
