Radio Nigeria will continue to take the lead in ensuring compliance with regulations in the broadcast industry.

Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria Ibadan, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, stated this when officials of Advertisement Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON, paid a courtesy visit to Radio Nigeria Ibadan.

Alhaji Mohammed Bello assured APCON of the station’s readiness to ensure members of staff and customers of the station fulfill all obligations to APCON, and that FRCN would take advantage of APCON training programmes.

Deputy Director Marketing, Mrs. Bolanle Owoyemi, said Radio Nigeria had continued to make efforts to adhere to APCON’s guidelines both to the staff of the station as well as customers.

Earlier, APCON Assistant Chief Regulation Officer, Mr. Jide Olishile acknowledged the cooperation between APCON and Radio Nigeria, pointing out that there had been an improvement in compliance with APCON’s demand.

Mr. Olishile urged the station to assist the council in the drive towards total compliance.
