Oyo NOA Boss Advocate Equal Rights for Women in Nigeria

The Oyo State Director, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mrs. Dolapo Dosumu has called for equal right for women as men in Nigeria, in order for the country to achieve massive progress and development.

Mrs Dosunmu made this appeal while joining other women across the world to celebrate this year’s international women’s day.

While speaking on this year’s theme “ an equal world is an enable world “, Mrs Dosunmu expressed displeasure at the extent to which the female gender was being marginalized, particularly in the African communities, adding that this had contributed to the setback faced by most African countries of the world.

She said it wass time for government, private organisations, and individual to put aside issues of stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements.

The NOA boss, while charging women in the state and the country at large not to see their gender as a disadvantage or limitation, to prove their worth, encouraged them to contribute their quota to the development of the country.
