FRCN Content Providers Charged to Produce Audience-Friendly Programmes
Media content providers in Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Ibadan have been enjoined to prioritize programmes that would meet audience needs.
This was the submission of the Deputy Director Programmes, Mrs Bolatito Joseph at the two-day Programme Planning Conference held at Premier FM Iyaganku Quarters, Ibadan.
Speaking on the theme of the conference “Effective Programme Planning for a Desired Goal”, Mrs Joseph emphasized the need for content providers in the station to design programs that would attract the interest of listeners.
The Zonal Director FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, Alhaji Mohammed Bello represented by the Deputy Director Marketing, Mrs Bolanle Owoyemi enjoined members of staff not to rest its oars but be committed to their profession.
Similarly, the General Manager, Premier FM, Reverend Niyi Dahunsi pointed out that presenters needed to come up with programmes that would sustain the station’s flagship status in the broadcast industry.
The Deputy Director News and Current Affairs, Reverend Segun Ayankoso was of the view that the station needs to do audience research on some of their programmes to know their ratings and as well equip themselves with modern skills.
Some participants at the conference expressed optimism that the conference would improve on their content delivery as well as boost their station’s internally generated revenue.
