The Torch of Unity has landed in Delta State in a tour ahead of the commencement of Edo 2020 National Sports Festival which begins from the 22nd of March.
Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa who received the flaming torch at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, noted his administration was committed to youth empowerment through sports and has built facilities to maintain the state’s dominance in national sporting events.
Oghenero Eghweree reports that the occasion coincided with the Grand Finale of Delta State Schools Sports Festival.
