Mothers have been advised to always forgive their husbands and show love in all circumstances.

A preacher, Mrs Bimpe Sotonade gave the advice in a sermon today at St Anne’s Church, Molete, Ibadan on the occasion of this year’s Mothering Sunday.

She observed that love could not thrive in a situation where unforgiveness reigns.

She called on mothers to also bring up their ward in fear of the Lord.

She noted that a child who feared the Lord would be an asset to the community and the nation at large.

Mrs Sotonade admonished Nigerians to be more hygienic and abide by all precautions to stem the tide of Coronavirus raving the world.

Mothers were later presented gifts in commemoration of the celebration.

Mothering Sunday is observed annually in most Orthodox churches worldwide on the fourth Sunday in Lent.

Radio Nigeria correspondent observes that there were liquid soap, water and sanitizers at all the entry points of the church.
