Oyo State Government has warned management of schools who failed to comply with government closure directive to have a rethink or face sanction.
Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, gave the warning while speaking with newsmen
Dr Olatunbosun said any school caught flouting the directive of the State Government efforts to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the state would be dealt with.
The commissioner hinted that the state’s COVID-19 Task Force would go round schools in the state beginning from 24th March 2020 to ensure strict compliance.
Dr Olatunbosun urged religious leaders to join hands with the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the state and adhere to the government’s order to suspend all gathering above 50 persons in worship centres.
