Federal workers have complied with the directive that non-essential staff should work from home to prevent the spread of corona virus.

At the Federal Secretariat, Ikolaba, Ibadan, the place was almost empty as many of the offices were under lock as those sighted claimed they were management staff.

Essential staff were however on duties as confirmed by the Superintendent of Federal Fire Station ,Mr Ayodeji Omole who said they ensured precautionary measures which were put in place for the workforce.

At Nigeria Television Authority, Ibadan Network Centre, Principal Officer, Programmes Department ,Mr Remi Afonja, said the number of staff on duty had been reduced ,as a way of preventing the spread of the disease.

Some workers at Oyo State Secretariat, Agodi who did not want their names to be mentioned called on the state government to also employ the work at home policy for some categories of civil servants to prevent the spread of covid-19.
