Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says he has put in place life insurance policy for the health workers towards encouraging and motivating them for better performance.
Prince Dapo Abiodun who made this known at a meeting with the representatives of health workers in his Oke-Mosan Abeokuta office, also announced that his administration had reviewed hazard allowance of health workers from 200 to 300 percent.
The governor gave the assurance that the health workers would be accommodated appropriately in the new minimum wage, and maintained that his administration was committed to improving their welfare.
While commending the health workers for their efforts towards flattening the curve of COVID 19, Governor Abiodun said that provision of personal protective equipment, face masks and other protective devices was part of efforts of his administration towards ensuring that the health workers were adequately protected.
Speaking on behalf of the health workers, Dr. Femi Odusote, who commended the state government for its efforts towards repositioning the health sector, gave the assurance that the health workers would continue to provide effective health care services for the people of the state.
