Ogun State Government has extended lockdown of the state for another one week.

The State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun who made this known while briefing newsmen in his Okemosan Abeokuta office, said that relaxation window are Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 7 am and 5 pm.

He explained that the lockdown was subject to review on weekly basis, and also maintained that his administration would strengthen enforcement on the use of face masks towards flattening the curve of COVID19.

The governor, who noted that some unpatriotic individuals breached inter state travel ban by smuggling people across the state’s borders emphasized that his administration would not tolerate any further breach of inter state travel ban.

While explaining that the state government had expanded COVID-19 enforcement tasks force in the three senatorial districts and twenty local government areas of the state, Governor Abiodun pointed out that security agencies, particularly Divisional police officers have joined the tasks force towards strengthening enforcement in their respective divisions.

He also called on traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders to report any suspected movement of people across the state’s borders towards preventing community spread of the virus.
