Three new Coronavirus patients have been recorded at the Federal Medical Centre Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

The three patients were all adult males.

One of the three patients had however died before the result of his sample came out.

A statement by the Head of public relations and information of the facility, Mr. SegunOrisajo explained that the deceased was a fifty eight year old with history of hypertension and diabetes.

The hospital spokesman said the deceased patient was admitted and being managed for ischemic stroke when he died following complications.

Mr. Orisajo stated that the second patient was a sixty five year old man from ObadaOko, Abeokuta.

He hinted that the patient was admitted and being managed for pulmonary tuberculosis when his sample returned positive.

The third patient according to the statement was a forty eight year old with record of being hypertensive from Ifo.

It was noted that the third patient was being managed for chronic kidney disease when his sample returned positive.

Mr. Orisajo said all medical and health personnel that managed the three cases observed necessary precautionary and personal safety measures.

He concluded that the hospital management has commenced arrangements for the evacuation of the two patients to the Ogun State Isolation Centre while the Medical Director, Prof. Adewale Musa- Olomu had  reiterated his advice to all staff and users of the Centre not to panic as the hospital is safe.
