The Delta State Government says it has benefitted from the goodwill of individuals and private organizations since in the fight against coronavirus, which has affected government business and led to the loss of lives.

The Secretary to the State Government Mr. Chiedu Ebie stated this in Asaba, where he received a donation of test kits and medical equipment by an energy firm based in Warri, the commercial nerve of the state.

Mr Ebie, while thanking the group for the donations, also noted the State Government was taking measures to cope with the uncertain duration of the global pandemic and was giving priority to the safety of residents of the state.

Meanwhile, a representative of the donor organization Mr Boma Brown observed the gesture was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the energy group to support the government in the fight against COVID-19.

Mr. Brown also commended the Government for steps taken to put Delta among the category of states with lower number of coronavirus cases.

The items donated include six hundred test kits, dozens of isolation suits, Infrared Thermo Guns amongst other materials.
