A new secretary to the Ondo State government, Mr Tayo Oluwatuyi has been sworn-in.

Mr Oluwatuyi who replaced Mr Ifedayo Abegunde who resigned from office, was the Commissioner for Natural Resources until his appointment.

Describing the appointment as deserving, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu encouraged Mr Oluwatuyi to remain dedicated and not betray the trust reposed in him.

He advised politicians in the state to put aside actions that could cause a breach of the peace.

Appreciating the state government, the new SSG, Mr Oluwatuyi pledged to be loyal and add value to governance.

Meanwhile the former SSG, Mr Ifedayo Abegunde says he remains a member of the APC and will work for the party’s victory in the forthcoming guber polls.

Mr Abegunde alleged that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu incapacitated him from reaching out to the people as an SSG.

He also blamed the governor for personalising governance to the detriment of party leaders.

Mr. Abegunde while admitting that he lost a friend in the governor whom he supported to win in 2016 however denied rigging for the governor in that election.
