Araromi Oke-Odo and neighbouring communities in Ife South Local
Government Area, Osun State, have heaved a sigh of relief as the
state government announced plans to restore electricity to them.

Speaking on behalf of the people after the announcement at Olubosin
Palace, Ifetedo, the National President, Ifetedo Progressive Union,
Alhaji Musedik Ojuade, said the gesture had rekindled the hope of the
residents and returned normalcy to the affected communities.

Alhaji Ojuade noted that the step had also confirmed the commitment of
the government to the wellbeing of the people.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy, Doctor
Tadese Raheem, announced that the government had approved the
immediate procurement and installation of a 33KVA feeder line that
would supply electricity to the affected communities.

He reiterated Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s resolve to restore
electricity to the communities in fulfilment of his promise to meet
the yearnings of the people.
