A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, has admonished Muslims and adherents of other religions across the country to use the Eid-Kabir celebration as an avenue to foster unity among the various ethnic groups in Nigeria.

In a statement by his media aide, Mr Kayode Agbaje said Nigeria at this period of its history needs unity among its numerous nationalities constituting its population.

Alhaji Adeoti called for collective prayers by all believers across all religious groups for God to intervene and stop the current spate of killings by bandits and terrorists in some parts of the country.

The APC chieftain also used the occasion to charge all Muslims in the state and the country, in general, to use the period of the Sallah to pray for an end of Coronavirus pandemic currently ravaging the world.

He charged residents to continue to pray for continued success of Governor Gboyega Oyetola-led administration in the state.
