Ogun State Government has released modalities for the resumption of the students in the state to ensure a safe learning academic atmosphere.

The protocol released by the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, explains that all returning boarding students are to stay in the school hostels only.

It advises parents not to arrange private hostels for the accommodation of their children during this period to ensure strict compliance with the Covid19 directives.

The statement also hinted that the State Ministry of Health has made provision for COVID-19 and malaria test for all the SS3 boarding students as part of the conditions for the re-opening of the schools.

The MTR Hospital at Oke Mosan, opposite the State Secretariat will be used to test boarding students in Abeokuta. 

The Ogun State General Hospital at Ota will be used to test those from Ota axis while Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital at Sagamu will be engaged for the test of students from the area.

The Health Care facilities according to the release will be available between Friday 31st July and Monday 3rd August, 2020

The document further hints that presentation of Covid-19 certificate showing negative will be the pass to admit the students back to school for boarding.

The release directs principals to immediately disseminate the information to all the SS3 students to ensure that the instructions are strictly adhered to as sanctions will be meted out to any defaulting school.
