The remains of a senator in the old Western Region and leader of Afenifere, Chief Ayo Fasanmi have been laid to rest with a call on leaders to shun act of acquiring wealth in a fraudulent manner but focus on selfless service to humanity as exemplified by the departed leader.

This is part of the submissions of the Bishop of Ekiti Oke Anglican Diocese, Right Reverend Peter Olubowale at the service for the late Senator held at Saint John’s Anglican Church Iye Ekiti.

Our correspondent, Oriola Afolabi who was there reports that the burial ceremony attended by the Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi who was represented by his Deputy Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, Osun State Deputy Governor Mr Benedict Alabi, Ekiti Elders, Representatives of Afenifere Ilosiwaju Yoruba among others.
