Ogun State Government has lifted the ban on the restriction of movements across the state during weekends as religious centres reopen for worship activities.

Governor Dapo Abiodun while announcing the reopening of religious centres warned that any religious organization that failed to comply with specified COVID-19 protocols would be closed down.

Governor Abiodun said regulations, including the establishment of isolation rooms and decontamination of premises would be strictly enforced by a roving taskforce.

While noting that the duration of religious services should not be more than one and a half hours, the Governor advised Muslims to perform ablution at home and go to mosques with their personal praying mats.

Governor Abiodun also announced that JSS 3 students who had registered for the NECO Basic Education Certificate Examination would resume on 17th August 2020#
