Junior Secondary School three students in Ogun State were sent back home from school following the commencement of West Africa Examination for the Senior Secondary School three students.

The junior students were seen returning home from their various schools within Abeokuta metropolis.

Some of the junior Students of Asero High School, Ẹgba Grammar School and Africa Grammar School during interaction with Radio Nigeria said they were asked to return home pending the conclusion of the WAEC Examinations.

It was reported by some teachers that the directive to send the junior secondary students home was related to the schools from the Ogun State Ministry of Education and was aimed at making the junior classrooms available for the senior students’ examination.

Some of the schools where the examination is taking place were observed to have strict compliance to the Covid-19 protocols.

Health officials were stationed at the entrance of some of the schools with single entrances equipped with infrared thermometer for monitoring of temperature.

Others also monitored were with hand washing facilities with soap and hand sanitizer.
