One person has been reportedly killed when suspected kidnappers made attempts to abduct a nursing mother and her baby at Ijoun community, around the Nigeria – Benin border areas in Ogun State. 
Spokesman of the State’s security outfit, So-Safe-Corps, Mr Moruf Yusuf, who announced this in Abeokuta said the thirty year old woman and her child were rescued unhurt by operatives of Corps attached to Ketu Division in Yewa North Local Government area of the State.
Mr Yusuf who pointed out that the incident occurred on Thursday, 20th August, 2020 said the four-man gang of suspected kidnappers operating on motorcycles had shot down the victim’s mother while she was trying raise the alarm.
He disclosed that one of the suspects, Jimoh Fayemi was apprehended by the Corps and three locally made pistols with two Motorbikes were recovered from the suspect.
Mr Yusuf who said efforts were on to arrest other members of the gang said the suspect was handed over to the Nigeria Police, Eggua Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution.
