Two male children from the same parent were on Saturday morning knocked down by a reckless driver in Ibadan.
The accident which occured on Gbagi -Alakia road saw the two boys, who were by the road side, dead immediately.
An eye witness told our reporter that the driver of the Mercedes Benz with registration number LSD 18 GE was said to have lost control due to mechanical and fault and ram into the two siblings by the roadside.
Although the police from Iwo road late came to the scene and rescued the driver of the Benz car from the angry mob who had already broken the rear and side glass of the car.
The driver was said to have been emotionally down when the incident happened.
“Efforts were made to rescue one of the children who did not die immediately, but it was learnt that he did not survive it.
A police source said the man had since been detained at Police station Iwo Road and the parent of the decease had been contacted.
