The Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai has stressed that Nigeria Army would continue to prioritize civil-military relations and national security to protect lives and properties.

He stated this during a courtesy visit on Governor Seyi Makinde at Agodi Government House Ibadan as part of his working visit to the 2 division of the Nigerian Army. 

Lt General Buratai gave an assurance that the army would always remain impartial to the political and socio-economic development of the nation.

The Chief of Army staff also pledged commitment to continue to provide solutions to the myriads of security challenges confronting the nation and guarantee the safety of lives and properties across the nation. 

In a remark, Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde commended the Nigerian Army for its level of professionalism and dexterity in managing the country security challenges.

Governor Makinde said the Nigerian Army has maintained a sense of efficiency in the face of security challenges, COVID-19 pandemic, economic meltdown and political challenges facing the nation.

The governor pledged that his administration would continue to provide support for the army in discharging its responsibilities.
