Ogun State Command of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE,has advised passengers to always caution drivers against reckless driving to avoid accidents.

The TRACE Sector Commander, Mr. Seni Ogunyemi gave the advice while speaking on “Gbagede Oro”, a Paramount FM enlightenment Programme.

According to him, no fewer than five hundred and twenty-seven road crashes, with one hundred and nine deaths was recorded between January and August this year. 

Mr. Ogunyemi lamented that poor road user attitude and indiscriminate flouting of road traffic regulations remained the major challenge confronting the corps.

He said the corps had cordial working relationship with other security agencies as well as emergency management agencies in the state to reduce road crashes.

The TRACEboss cautioned drivers and motorcycle riders to avoid overloading passengers to sustain the ongoing advocacy campaign aimed at curtailing the spread of coronavirus.
