The Ogun State Football Association, OGSFA, wants organizers of Football competitions in the State to desist from staging any until the embargo on contact games are lifted.

A board member, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, gave the warning in an interview with sports writers in Abeokuta.

Alhaji Majekodunmi pointed out that organizers of football competitions should not see the gradual ease of lockdown as indication to play Football without the directive of Football bodies.

He explained that the Nigeria Football Federation and Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports had not lifted embargo on contact games hence the need for the organizers to abide by the directive to avoid the consequences.

Alhaji Majekodunmi who expressed concern that despite warnings from federal government through the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, and Ogun state government said some people still go about engaging in Football activities without recourse to laws and directives.
