Permanent Secretaries in Ekiti State have been advised to shun partisan politics and always be guided by the principles and ethics of public service in the discharge of their duties.

Governor Kayode Fayemi who gave the advice in Ado Ekiti at the swearing in of the newly appointed permanent secretaries said their appointments became necessary to fill the vacant positions in the state civil service.

The Governor also cautioned them against using their offices to enrich themselves as such would not be condone by his administration.

He remarked that government would continue to support its work force in the areas of capacity development, welfare to enhance optimum performance.

Governor Fayemi urged them as agents of the people to work within the civil service rules and support government in the execution of its five point agenda.

Responding on behalf of the permanent secretaries, one of them Mr. Olugbenga Odesanmi promised their dedication and commitment to achieve the set goals of the present administration.

The four new Permanent Secretaries are Mr. Samson Olauyi, Mr.  Olugbenga Odesanmi, Dr. Michael Ibikunle and Mrs. Titilayo Olayinka
