Hundreds of traders located at a shopping complex in Ishokun, Oyo South West Local Council Development Area, Oyo town have deserted their businesses following the non-removal of a corpse in the area.
Some of the traders and residents of Ishokun area where the corpse had been allegedly lying since Sunday night said the matter was reported to police and health authorities in view of dangers posed to human health but no positive response till now.
An Environmental Health Official who spoke with Radio Nigeria on condition of anonymity confirmed awareness of the situation, adding that they needed time to process papers for the removal.
