The industrial action embarked upon by state workers in Ogun entered the second day with many offices at the One Mosan State Secretariat under lock and keys.

Few vehicles were seen moving in and out of the Secretariat. 

The Labour movement in Ogun State had called out its members to demand for the immediate commencement of payment of new minimum wage, abolition of the state pension law and payment of deductions from the workers’ salary among others.

The governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun who is presently out of the country, is being expected to resolve the crisis that has paralysed government activities in the state.

Also at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi Àbà, Abeokuta and the Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital at Aro also in Abeokuta, medical activities have been affected with the ongoing strike by the Joint Health Sector Workers Union, JOHESU.

Patients were being turned back as officers affected were enforcing the industrial action.
