The lawmaker representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/ Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Honourable Bamidele Salam has called on Inspector-General of Police, Muhammad Adamu to order the immediate arrest of police officers who allegedly pursued an Osun citizen, Idris Ajibola, to death.

The lawmaker also urged Governor Gboyega Oyetola to set up a public panel of enquiry to probe the death of Idris and the injuries sustained by three others.

Mr Salam, who bemoaned the reckless attitude of the law enforcement agencies whenever they sight apparently rich youths driving on the road, said the perpetrators of the unfortunate incident should be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.

Recall that the personnel of the State Task Force allegedly chased four young men for refusing to stop after they were flagged along Osogbo East-West bypass around 5:20 pm on Tuesday.

Reacting after paying a condolence visit to the family hour of deceased located at Ofatedo in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun, the legislator who represents the federal constituency described the incident as unfortunate.
