Personal Protective Equipment worth millions of naira have been donated by the Nigerian Red Cross Society to Oyo State Government.
Our correspondent reports that the donation was a collaboration between the Nigerian Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and a Notable Bottling Company in Nigeria.
Chairperson, Nigerian Red Cross Society , Mrs. Mojisola Ojo said the donation was part of their corporate social responsibilities to the society and meant to serve as protective against COVID-19
Receiving the donations, Commissioner for Health in Oyo state, Dr. Bashir Bello said the items would be judiciously used for the purposes intended.
The items included three hundred boxes of surgical masks, two hundred and fifty pairs of examination gloves, seven thousand pieces of gown, one thousand four hundred pieces of disposable aprons and one hundred pieces of hand sanitizers.
