Ekiti State Government has ordered the closure of all private and public schools in the State for the rest of the week.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, D.r Olabimpe Aderiye gave the order in a statement in Ado Ekiti.
Dr. Aderiye explained that the directive became necessary to safeguard the lives of pupils, students, teachers and other staff members who are finding it difficult to get to their respective schools.
The Education commissioner expressed the hope that School activities would resume next week Monday.
