Lagos government has identified twenty one police officers undergoing criminal trials for trampling on the fundamental human rights of residents.

The policemen are facing prosecution in different courts for charges that ranged from murder to other minor offences.

According to Lagos State Attorney General, Moyosore Onigbanjo ,SAN, the state has always been committed to the prosecution of erring security officers.

Onigbanjo enjoined the public to keep track of the cases as state lawyers diligently prosecute them in the interest of the public.

 Similarly, the Ogun State Government has announced the prosecution of four cops allegedly involved in extrajudicial killings in the state.

The policemen included Inspector Wasiu Lawal, Inspector Niyi Ogunsoro, Inspector Ahmed Mohammed and one Okoi Obi.

The state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Akingbolahan Adeniran, in a statement, urged members of the public to attend the proceedings.
