Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says his administration is committed towards improving the welfare of doctors in the state.

Prince Abiodun who stated this at a meeting with the Association of Resident Doctors, OOUTH, Sagamu and the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners held at the executive chambers, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta, said that his administration was prepared to provide a conducive environment for doctors in the state to perform effectively.

The governor while commending the doctors for the role they played during the peak of the covid19 pandemic noted that his administration had concluded plan to launch its own health insurance programme.

Earlier in their separate remarks, the president, Association of Resident Doctors, OOUTH, Sagamu; Dr Popoola Mutiu and his counterpart in the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners; Dr Odusote Olufemi said they were at the office of the governor to show their appreciation on the recent approval and implementation of the appropriate remuneration for doctors in the state.
