Good Employer-Employee Relationship Crucial For Progress – RATTAWU

Managements and employees’ unions should have smooth working relationship to champion improved welfare for the staff.

The General Manager, Positive FM, Mr Tunde Abiodun gave this assertion while giving a keynote address at the meeting of Southwest FRCN Radio Television Theatre and Art Workers Union, RATTAWU Chairmen and Secretaries held at Premier Holiday Hotel in Igbara-Oke, Ondo State.

Represented by the Station’s Head of Engineering Unit, Mr Steve Omonagbe, Mr Abiodun called on the labour leaders to cultivate the habit of mutual respect for the leadership of their organizations while also allowing for a well-coordinated communication channels among their members.

In a remark, the Ondo state Chairman of RATTAWU, Comrade Kayode Olorunfemi represented by the State treasurer, Comrade Lanre Oluwateru charged RATTAWU members to keep electing credible people who have the interest of the union at heart.

The meeting in a communique after its deliberations appreciated the management of FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, under the leadership of the Zonal Director, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, for the provision of new equipment and his fatherly role in other issues in the zone.

It, however, asks the management to take staff welfare more seriously to boost morale and aid their psychological welfare for them to discharge their duties more efficiently.
